Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina
The NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is one of four facilities in the state, established in 1976 to promote awareness, understanding, appreciation and conservation of the diverse natural and cultural resources of North Carolina’s ocean, estuaries, rivers, streams, and other aquatic environments. We are proud to be partnering with the NC Aquarium, and their more than 4,000 animals that take patrons on a journey from the mountains to the sea.
Reclaim Filters & Systems is an authorized AirSep Caire Oxygen Concentrator dealer, distributor, and repair center. The NC Aquarium uses oxygen concentrators to remove nitrogen and provide O2 for their aquatic habitats, and also to supply clean and dry oxygen to their ozone generators used in the Aquariums water treatment.
We recommend performing the specified service at the intervals outlined in the detailed AirSep manual. Our repairs include disassembly, cleaning, rebuild or replacement of any worn components, cleaning of the valve block assembly, replacement of the oxygen sieve beds, and the addition of a proprietary 5-micron carbon inlet air filter (pictured above).
Many commercial, industrial, agricultural, and habitat environments have airborne particulate, chemical vapors, ozone, and/or salt air and water vapor that can damage valuable equipment. Because of this, we have implemented the secondary 5-micron carbon intake filter mentioned above on all repairs. This not only traps airborne particulate but lowers the humidity of the incoming air. Water vapor lands on the outside of the filter, evaporates, drying and cooling the incoming air. The carbon intake filter protects the compressor and sieve beds from airborne chemical vapor it protects against ozone damage. For customers outside our service area, we ship out AirSep approved shipping containers to help ensure the units arrive safely. We will also pick-up and deliver whenever possible to avoid potential shipping damage.
For Trent Boyette at the NC Aquarium, having working oxygen is essential for Aquarium health and marine habitat. He uses oxygen for a variety of purposes including feed gas for ozone generators, and oxygen infusion into their many aquatic life tanks.
Precursor to Ozone. Oxygen concentrators supply oxygen for Ozone generation. The AirSep / Caire oxygen units can provide up to 90% pure oxygen for ozone generation which is essential for efficient production of o3 gas. If the incoming gas contains too much nitrogen, it can mix with water vapor and create nitric acid which in turn can cause severe damage to expensive ozone systems and produce nitrate in the treated water. Too much nitrate can be a precursor to algae blooms and fish death. So, a proper feed gas is vitally important, not just in marine habitat like Aquariums, but also for Aquaculture, Hydroponics, Aquaponics and Water Treatment in general.
Topaz, Topaz Plus and Onyx models are what we see most often but are able to perform maintenance and repairs on most all AirSep Oxygen Systems. Please give us a call for all of your oxygen concentrator needs.
